Itinerary

THE 1ST DAY: FROM FEZ TO MERZOUGA DESERT SAHARA(ERG CHEHBI)

Our wonderful journey starts from the city of Fes, by picking you up from your accommodation  we will start our trip towards one of the most visited places in Morocco the unique “Merzouga”; crossing some interesting locations on the way, such as  the city with the European influence “Ifrane”, and driving through the unique refreshing Cedar forests towards the Atlantic city of “Azrou”; till we arrive at the city of “Midelt” where you are going to enjoy a traditional  lunch at a restaurant in the area. Afterward, we will continue towards “Merzouga” passing by the beautiful city of “Errachidia”  and “Erfoud” where you will start noticing the major change in the nature of the place from green to rocky. When arrived at the location, our guide will take you in a memorable experience through the sandy dunes camel trekking enjoying the uncanny sunset in the middle of the Sahara, that you will enjoy from the highest dune in North Africa. Eventually, we will reach our traditional camp, where you will be welcomed by some Berber music and a delicious dinner around the campfire in a milky way. Overnight at a nomadic camel hair tent.

THE 2ND DAY: FROM ERG CHEBBI DESERT TO MERZOUGA AND ZIZ VALLEY THEN MEDILT THEN IFRANE AND FINALLY FES

The morning at Merzouga is the best part of this trip, early our guide will wake you up so you don’t miss the spectacular sunrise, and while the sun shines in the golden lose dunes a traditional breakfast will be served for you to enjoy. Thereupon we will ride camels back to the town of  Merzouga where we will switch to our vehicle, to draw our way back to the city of  “Fes” crossing back the wonderful Atlas mountains with its interesting landscapes all along the way. To finally arrive at the beautiful city of Fes where our unforgettable journey will end.

Excellent guides and hosts!!!! Excellent Mohamed and his partner Ibrahim. We felt very protected, it was our first trip to Morocco and we were a little afraid with the language and customs but everything was excellent with them. They kept surprising us, the places that took us, the landscapes and with incredible experiences. They speak like 5 languages both so in that sense ... all resolved hahahaha!! Super recommended. Thank you both so much and hopefully it will be repeated!!!

15 day around Morocco much better than what we imagined. We were 3 women traveling alone for 15 days around the country, we started at casablanca and ended in Marrakech, the whole trip was delightful and we felt safe the whole time, Sahara Gate Tours had perfectly planned our itinerary with excellent timing in each place we visited, all hotels, restaurants and sightseeing were Absolutely amazing! Our guide Moha was the best, everyday with good energy and happy vibes, he made our trip fun the entire time, we felt safe and well guided, his car was perfectly clean and he had organized our tour according to our interests, all other city guides were also nice and very well prepared. Thanks Moha for making our trip so special! We had and amazing time!

Best ever 5 Days desert tour from Marrakech It is impossible to express how much we enjoyed our trip to Morocco, which is mostly due to Mohamed. By the end of our trip, our three children, ages seven, nine, and eleven, were all enamored with Moha. On the trip, my daughter turned ten, and he bought gifts for every child! He even managed to procure my kid a cake in the Sahara desert with her name on it! Very safe driving and excellent communication. He was really understanding and listened to what we wanted to do. Definitely going to tell others about Sahara Gate Tours. It really could not have been better in any aspect.
