Morocco Itinerary: 14 Days From Casablanca Morocco Grand Desert tour
Day 1: Casablanca or Marrakech
Arrive at Casablanca or Marrakech. Your guide will welcome you in the airport and will drive you to the hotel.
Day 2: Marrakech
Discover Marrakech, the famous red city. Visit the immense souk, and plunge into the excitement of the place Djemaa El Fna. Be delighted by the dancers, snake charmers, jugglers, narrators and singers. Enjoy refreshment with an orange juice in front of the numerous stalls.
Day 3: Ouarzazate
Heading south we travel to Ouarzazate through the Tizi-n Tichka pass, which peaks at 2260m. On the way you will visit Télouet’s village to find the luxurious remains of a kasbah which was a place of residence of the leaders of the powerful Glaoui tribe until the independence of Morocco in 1956. In Ouarzazate, you will be able to visit another Glaoui kasbah, that of Taourirt which sheltered the members of the Glaoui dynasty and their staff.
Day 4: Valley of Dades
Road of the thousand kasbahs. Change of rhythm today. You will start your walk from El Kelaat M’gouna, known for the manufacturing of rose water, to the gorges of Dades. You will have the opportunity to appreciate the fresh oasis and the palm plantation, the numerous kasbahs and the landscape of the Middle Atlas.
Day 5: Gorges of Dades
Walk in the tranquillity of the mountains and take a moment to enjoy the lifestyle of the Berbers isolated by the mountain. Everywhere, you will discover a new scene of daily life. Spend the night in a hotel in the gorge.
Day 6: Gorges of Todra
You will resume your trip in a 4×4 Land Rover to cross the Dades gorge to the Todra gorge. It is a wild landscape, populated with Berber villages and nomads minding their herds of goats. Hike down the narrow gorges, the fruit of the separation of the High Atlas and Jebel Saghro. Refresh yourself a bit by bathing your feet in the cold and crystalline water of the river. Spend the night in Tinerhir.
Day 7: Erg Chebbi
After a good mint tea, have a walk in the palm plantation of Todra, before heading for Merzouga and the region of the Erg Chebbi. It is here that you will cross, in the slow pace of camels this mountain of gold-coloured sand. You will appreciate the pure beauty of the landscape while travelling to your camp in the desert.
Day 8: Merzouga
A day in the desert. Take advantage of this day in the desert to admire the ever changing light on the dunes. In the evening, by a campfire under the starry sky, the traditional musicians will help you to catch the spirit of the desert.
Day 9: Merzouga
You will come to recover from your trip to the desert at the Hotel Inn in Merzouga village where you will be warmly welcomed and will taste the simple and traditional desert cuisine.
Day 10: Gorges of Ziz VALLEY
You will return to the North of the country via the valley of Ziz. On the way, take advantage of the coolness of the Meski Blue Source to help you along the way. A stop is foreseen in Midelt.
Day 11: Fez

Can’t say enough about how much we loved our trip to Morocco in big thanks to Moha. We traveled with our 3 kids aged 6, 8, 10 and they all were in love with Moha at the end. My daughter turned 10 on the trip and he bought all the kids presents! He even was able to get a cake for my daughter with her name on it….in the Sahara desert! Superb communication, very safe driving. He listened to what we wanted to do and was very accommodating. Will definitely recommend this tour company to others. Truly, could not have been better in every way.
