Itinerary

Best of Morocco – Imperial Cities Tour from Marrakech (9 Days / 8 Nights)

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrival at Marrakech Airport. Meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel or riad for accommodation in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech – Telouet – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

After breakfast, depart Marrakech via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains.
Stop for photos, then follow the off-road route to Telouet to explore the historic Glaoui Kasbah.
Continue to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous ksars.

After lunch, continue toward Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” where optional visits include the film studios and Kasbah Taourirt.
In the afternoon, continue to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, drive through the beautiful Dades Valley, then continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges, famous for their 300-meter-high canyon walls.
Enjoy free time to walk and explore.
Travel onward through Tinghir and Erfoud until reaching Merzouga and the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Optional camel trek for sunset (or transfer by 4×4 to your desert camp).
Dinner and overnight in a desert camp or hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Errachidia – Midelt – Fez

Wake up early if you wish to enjoy a Sahara sunrise. After breakfast, depart Merzouga toward the green oasis of the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves.
Continue to Errachidia, then drive across the High Plateau to reach Midelt for lunch.
Afterward, cross the Middle Atlas Mountains through cedar forests and Berber villages, arriving in Fez in the late afternoon.
Overnight in Fez.

Day 5: Explore Fez

Enjoy a full day dedicated to exploring Fez, the spiritual, cultural, and intellectual capital of Morocco.
Your guided tour includes:

Medersa Bou Inania, one of Morocco’s most beautiful theological schools Al Karaouiyine University, considered the oldest university in the world

Dinner and overnight in Fez.

Day 6: Fez – Rabat

After breakfast, depart Fez and travel toward the Atlantic coastal capital of Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities.

The historic Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V

The picturesque Kasbah of the Oudayas, overlooking the Bouregreg River

Dinner and overnight in Rabat.

Day 7: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech

After breakfast, depart Rabat and continue to Casablanca, Morocco’s modern economic center.
Optional visit to:

The impressive Hassan II Mosque (largest in Morocco and second largest in Africa)

After the visit, continue your journey back to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.

Day 8: Explore Marrakech

Today is dedicated to discovering the highlights of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most captivating imperial cities.
