Itinerary

Day 1: Airport to Casablanca

Transfer from the airport to Casablanca to check into your hotel.  Optional Casablanca Sightseeing (Early Arrival)

 Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
 

After breakfast, start your trip to visit The Hassan II Mosque which is the second largest religious building in the world after the mosque in Mecca. After, continue to the Imperial city of Rabat, the administrative capital of the Kingdom. Visit the magnificent Mausoleum Mohamed V and the Hassan II. Then, heading to Volubilis through the other Imperial city of Meknes to visit the Roman ruins, which are spread over a wide area and afford beautiful views over the valley and hills. Then head to Fez and check in to the Hotel.

Day 3: Fez – Fez Medina

After breakfast you will start exploring the imperial city of Fez in Morocco, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. You will visit the Medina, Médersas Attarine, Fontaine Ennajarine, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Quarawiyin Mosque and the new medina in Fez Jdid. In the evening back to the hotel.

Day 4: Fez – Merzouga

In the morning after breakfast, depart to Merzouga via Ifrane, the Moroccan Swiss style town and cedar forests is where we will stop for a while to enjoy seeing monkeys climbing the trees. Then Lunch is in Midelt, “the apple capital”, at the foot of the Ayachi Mountain. We continue over the Tizi-n-Talremt pass and through the Ziz Valley, which is particularly well-known for its palm trees and the length of the oasis. All along the road there are innumerable “ksars”, small villages of individual houses. From here we reach Errachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils. Arrival in Merzouga where there are Morocco´s unique dunes, the rest of the day will be dedicated to appreciate the evening light as it changes the colours over the dunes. Night in Desert Hotel.

 Day 5: Merzouga desert – Todra gorge – Dades Valley

Wake-up to a spectacular sunrise in the desert then You will return Back by camel to the hotel where you will enjoy  your breakfast and shower, then you take the way to  travel to Tinerhir for lunch and to visit the dramatic Todra Gorges. Next you will continue to the Dades Valley where you will spend the night in your hotel.

 Day 6: Dades valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

 Enjoy breakfast and continue the journey through the rose valley to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou that is situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River. This beautiful example of southern Moroccan architecture has been used as a backdrop for over 20 films including Lawrence of Arabia, Jewel of the Nile, The Mummy, and Gladiator. You will then continue to Marrakech over the Tizi N’ Tichka Pass while enjoying superb views of the High Atlas Mountains and of the Berber villages. arrive early evening in Marrakech.

 Day 7: Marrakech – Marrakech

Begin your day with a traditional Moroccan breakfast before setting out on a full-day guided tour of Marrakech. Discover the grandeur of the Koutoubia Mosque, the exquisite ornamentation of the Bahia Palace, and ben youssef madrassa, which offer a glimpse into Morocco rich royal heritage. The guide will provide fascinating stories behind each site, enriching your understanding of the city’s history and architecture. Overnight in the same  Marrakech. 

Day 8: Marrakech airport

Breakfast and check out. Transport to the airport depends of your fligh deoarture, where your tour ends.


Best Time to Visit:

 Spring (March-May) or Autumn (September-November) offers the best weather for desert trekking.

The Desert Experience: Most tours include a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset, a night in a desert camp with Berber music, and sandboarding.

Itinerary Highlights: The route typically travels north to Chefchaouen first, then through Fes, the Middle Atlas (Azrou monkey forest), Merzouga desert, Todra Gorges, and Ouarzazate before reaching Marrakech.

Transportation: Long driving days are involved. Casablanca to Fes is long, as is Fes to Merzouga (approx. 7-8 hours). Private air-conditioned  or standard guided minivans.

What to Pack: Bring layers for the desert (it gets cold at night),

comfortable walking shoes for medinas, sunglasses, sunblock, and a headlamp.
Accommodation & Food: Options range from mid-range to luxury,

staying in traditional Riads. Meals often include tagines, couscous, and mint tea.
